    From Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary, head south on the road leading out of Crooked Tree. Continue for approximately 10 miles until you reach the junction with the Philip Goldson Highway (also known as the Northern Highway). Turn left onto the Philip Goldson Highway and continue for about 12 miles towards the town of Orange Walk. When you reach Orange Walk, follow the signs to the Western Highway. Merge onto the Western Highway and drive for about 36 miles until you reach the junction for the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve. Turn left and follow the signs for about 10 miles. The forest reserve will be on your right, look for the entrance sign.

    Start by taking a bus from Crooked Tree to Orange Walk. Buses typically run every hour and the fare is around BZD 2-3. Upon arriving in Orange Walk, catch a bus heading towards Belize City on the Western Highway. The fare for this leg is about BZD 5-7. Once you reach the junction for the Mountain Pine Ridge Forest Reserve, you will have to arrange for a taxi or local transport to take you the final stretch to the reserve, which is approximately 10 miles. Expect to pay around BZD 15-20 for the taxi.
