Getting There

  • Air Transfer

    The most common way to reach Savute Elephant Lodge is via a light aircraft transfer from either Maun or Kasane Airport. These transfers are typically arranged by the lodge as part of your safari package. The flight from Maun takes approximately 50 minutes, while the flight from Kasane is around 40 minutes. Upon arrival at the Savute airstrip, a guide will transfer you to the lodge. Note that luggage restrictions apply (20kg in soft-sided bags).

  • Guided Safari Transfer

    If you are already within Chobe National Park or a neighboring area, you may be able to arrange a guided safari transfer to Savute Elephant Lodge. This involves traveling in a 4x4 safari vehicle, typically arranged through your previous lodge or a tour operator. Confirm the pick-up time and location in advance. Park entry fees are required to enter Chobe National Park. As of July 2025, non-resident adults pay approximately BWP 270 per day. Check current rates before your visit, as fees are subject to change.
