Getting There

• Bus

  If you are starting from the Praça do Ferreira, walk to the nearby bus terminal. Look for buses heading to the Centro de Fortaleza. The most common bus lines that will take you there include 010, 013, and 045. Once aboard, inform the driver that you want to get off at the Catedral Metropolitana. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. After disembarking, the cathedral will be a short 5-minute walk straight ahead on Rua Sobral.

• Metro

  From the Estação Central do Metro, take Line 1 towards the Parangaba station. Get off at the next stop, which is the Estação São Benedito. Exit the station and walk towards Rua 25 de Março. Turn left on Rua 25 de Março and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua Sobral. Turn right on Rua Sobral, and the Catedral Metropolitana will be a short walk ahead.

• Taxi or Ride-sharing

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi or use a ride-sharing app like Uber. Simply enter 'Catedral Metropolitana de Fortaleza' as your destination. The driver will take you directly to the cathedral, which is located at Rua Sobral - Centro. The journey will typically take around 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic.

• Walking

  If you are staying in the Centro area, you can easily walk to the Catedral Metropolitana. From the Praça do Ferreira, head north on Rua 25 de Março. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Rua Sobral. Turn right onto Rua Sobral, and you will find the cathedral a few blocks down. The walk should take around 15-20 minutes.
