Mirante Camila: A Breathtaking Vista in Itatiaia

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving, make your way to the entrance of Itatiaia National Park. From there, follow the main road towards the Vale dos Reis area. After entering the park, continue straight for approximately 12 km until you reach the signage for Mirante Camila. There will be a parking area nearby where you can leave your vehicle. Note that there may be an entrance fee for the national park, typically around R$ 20 per person.

• Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, take a bus to Itatiaia town. From Itatiaia, you can catch a local bus heading towards Itatiaia National Park. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Vale dos Reis stop. From there, you will need to walk approximately 4 km along a marked trail to reach Mirante Camila. Ensure to check the bus schedules ahead of time, as they may vary, and be prepared for a possible entrance fee to the park.

• Hiking

  For those who enjoy hiking, if you are already in the park, you can take the trail that leads to Mirante Camila directly from the Vale dos Reis area. This hike is about 4 km and is moderately challenging, so wear appropriate footwear and carry enough water. The trail is well-marked and offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscape. Make sure to start your hike early in the day to ensure you have enough daylight for your return.
