Getting There

  • Metro

    Start your journey by taking the Metro Line 1 (the orange line) towards 'General Osório'. Get off at the 'Cine Lapa' station. From there, transfer to Metro Line 2 (the green line) towards 'Jardim Oceanico' and get off at 'Botafogo' station.

  • Bus

    Once you are at Botafogo station, exit the metro and walk to the bus stop 'Botafogo, Praia de Botafogo'. Take the bus number '584' (which goes to 'Alto da Boa Vista'). Confirm with the driver that the bus will stop at the entrance of Tijuca National Park.

  • Walking

    After getting off the bus at 'Alto da Boa Vista', you will need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to reach the Tijuca National Park Visitor Center. Head north on Estr. da Cascatinha, and follow the signs toward the park entrance. The Visitor Center will be located at Estr. da Cascatinha, 850.
