Getting There

  • Public Transport

    The Pinacoteca de São Paulo is easily accessible by public transport. Take the Metro to Luz Station (Lines 1, 4, and 3). From the station, it's a short walk to the Pinacoteca Luz and Pinacoteca Contemporânea. To reach Pinacoteca Estação, follow the signs from platform 1 of the CPTM at Luz Station to the Boulevard João Carlos Martins, which connects to the cultural complex where Pinacoteca Estação is located. A single metro or train fare costs around R$4.40.

  • Walking

    If you are in the Luz district, Jardim da Luz, or near the Estação da Luz, the Pinacoteca is within easy walking distance. From the Estação da Luz, walk for about 2 minutes to reach Pina Luz and about 3 minutes to reach Pina Contemporânea. Pinacoteca Estação can be accessed via the Boulevard João Carlos Martins.

  • Driving

    If driving, the Pinacoteca Luz has a parking lot that is open during museum hours. The parking fee is R$20 for the first hour and R$5 for each additional hour. Pinacoteca Estação has parking on Rua Mauá, 51, costing R$16 up to 3 hours on weekdays and R$16 for a fixed price on weekends until 12:30 PM. Note that Pinacoteca Contemporânea does not have parking. Metered street parking is available around the museum. Be aware that the Pinacoteca does not have partnerships with nearby parking lots or valet services.
