If you're traveling by car, start your journey from Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. Head southwest on the A1 highway towards Pernik. After approximately 10 km, take the exit onto the A3 highway towards Samokov. Continue on the A3 for about 25 km until you reach the village of Bistritsa. From Bistritsa, follow signs for Boyana Lake, which is about a 10-minute drive (approximately 6 km). You can park your car at designated parking areas near the lake.
