Please note that this road can be rough; a 4x4 vehicle is recommended for the best experience. Follow this road for about 3 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the lake.

To reach the Dead Lake (Martvoto Ezero) via public transportation, take a bus from Sofia to Yakoruda (approximately 2.5 hours). Once you arrive in Yakoruda, you will need to take a taxi or arrange for a local transport service that can take you to the lake. The distance from Yakoruda to the lake is about 20 kilometers, and a taxi ride will typically cost around 20-30 BGN. Make sure to discuss the return trip with the driver or arrange a pickup time.
