You will need to take the road that leads to the Rila National Park. The drive from Sapareva Banya to the parking area at the base of the lakes takes about 30 minutes. The parking lot is located near the lift station. Note that parking fees apply, usually around 5-10 BGN per day.

To reach The Seven Rila Lakes using public transportation, take a bus from Sofia to Sapareva Banya. The journey takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours. Upon arriving in Sapareva Banya, you can either walk or take a taxi to the lift station, which is approximately 9 km away. The lift ticket costs around 20 BGN one way. Once at the top of the lift, follow the marked trail leading to the lakes, which takes about 30-40 minutes.

For those who prefer hiking, you can start your journey from the lift station at the base of the lakes. After taking the lift, follow the well-marked trails.
