    If you are traveling by car from Rila to Musala, start by heading east on the main road (E-79) from Rila. Follow the signs towards Samokov. Continue for about 30 kilometers until you reach the town of Samokov. Once in Samokov, take the road towards Borovets, which is well-marked. From Borovets, follow the signs to the gondola lift station, which is called the Yastrebets Gondola. The gondola will take you up the mountain to a higher elevation, significantly reducing your hiking time. The cost for a round-trip ticket on the gondola is approximately 30 BGN (Bulgarian Lev). After arriving at the top station, you will need to hike approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to reach Musala Peak.
