Car
If you are driving, start from Sofia and head towards Vitosha Mountain. Take the ring road (Sofia Ring Road) to the south side of the mountain. Follow the signs for Bistritsa. Once you reach Bistritsa, park at the designated parking area near the entrance of the Vitosha Nature Park. The coordinates for the parking area are approximately 42.5507935, 23.3185481. From here, you can begin your hike towards Golyam Kupen Peak.

Public Transportation
To reach Golyam Kupen Peak using public transportation, take bus number 63 from Sofia to Bistritsa. The bus departs from the 'Ovcha Kupel' metro station. Once you arrive in Bistritsa, you will need to walk to the entrance of Vitosha Nature Park. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes from the bus stop. Head towards the main road and follow the signs leading into the park. Once you enter the park, make your way to the designated trails that lead to Golyam Kupen Peak.

From the parking area or the park entrance, take the well-marked trail that leads to Golyam Kupen Peak. The trail is moderately challenging and takes about 2-3 hours to reach the peak, depending on your pace. Follow the signs indicating 'Golyam Kupen' and enjoy the scenic views along the way. Make sure to bring enough water and snacks for the hike, and wear appropriate hiking gear.
