From the main entrance of Kibira National Park, head southeast on the road towards Bujumbura. After approximately 15 kilometers, you will reach a junction. Take the left turn towards Muyange. Continue on this road for about 10 kilometers, until you reach the town of Masama. Gakenke is located close to Masama.
