Car
If you're traveling by car from the main entrance of Kibira National Park, head southeast on the main road. Continue for about 15 kilometers until you reach the intersection near Nyange. Turn left at the intersection and follow the road for approximately 5 kilometers. Nkotsi will be located on your right, marked by a small signpost. Make sure to watch for local traffic and wildlife along the road.

Public Transportation
To reach Nkotsi using public transportation, first take a bus or shared taxi from Gitega towards Nyamurenge. The fare should be around 1,500 Burundian Francs (BIF). Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Nyange intersection. Once you arrive at the intersection, you can either walk the remaining 5 kilometers or hire a local motorcycle taxi (boda-boda) for about 3,000 BIF to take you directly to Nkotsi.

For those who prefer to walk, starting from the Nyange intersection, follow the main road towards Nkotsi. It is approximately a 5-kilometer walk which should take about 1 hour. Be cautious of the traffic and ensure to stay on the side of the road. You can ask locals for directions if needed.
