If you are in the central area of Carmel-by-the-Sea, start by heading south on Ocean Avenue until you reach San Carlos Street. Turn left onto San Carlos Street and continue walking until you reach 6th Avenue. At 6th Avenue, turn right and continue walking until you reach The Crossroads Shopping Village. Follow the signs to Highway 1 and cross over to the pedestrian bridge. Once you are on the other side, head east on the designated walking path toward Cannery Row in Monterey. The total walking distance is approximately 1.5 miles and should take you around 30-40 minutes.

Bicycle
To reach 700 Cannery Row by bicycle from Carmel-by-the-Sea, rent a bike from one of the local shops. Start your ride heading down Ocean Avenue, then turn left onto San Carlos Street. Continue straight until you reach 6th Avenue and turn right. Follow 6th Avenue until you connect with the Monterey Bay Coastal Recreation Trail, which will lead you directly to Cannery Row. The ride is scenic and approximately 2 miles, taking about 15-20 minutes.

From Carmel-by-the-Sea, you can take the Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) bus line 23 towards Monterey. Catch the bus at the nearest stop on Ocean Avenue and wait for the bus, which comes every 30 minutes. Once on board, stay on the bus for about 20 minutes, and disembark at the Cannery Row stop. From there, it's a short walk to 700 Cannery Row. Be sure to check the current bus schedule for accurate timings.
