Public Transit
From Castro Valley BART Station, take the BART train towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at the Embarcadero Station in San Francisco. Transfer to the Muni bus line 30 (Stockton) and take it towards the Bayview/Hunters Point. Get off at the bus stop at 1st and Market Street. Walk to the Transbay Terminal and catch the Golden Gate Transit bus 30 towards Mill Valley. Get off at the Mill Valley Depot. From there, it’s about a 15-minute walk to the Nike Missile Site, following the directions: head northeast on E Blithedale Ave, turn left onto Miller Ave, and follow the signs to the site.

If you are already near the Mill Valley area, you can walk to the Nike Missile Site. Start at the Mill Valley Depot and walk north on Miller Ave. Continue straight until you reach the entrance to the site, which is well-marked. The total walking distance is approximately 1 mile, and it should take around 20-25 minutes at a leisurely pace.

Bicycle Rental
For those who prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Castro Valley. Once you have your bike, head towards Miller Ave and follow the bike lanes to Mill Valley. Once you reach Mill Valley, continue to the Nike Missile Site. The ride is about 5 miles and will take around 20-30 minutes depending on your cycling speed.
