From Daly City, walk to the Daly City BART station located at 500 John Daly Blvd. Board the BART train towards San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Get off at the Civic Center/UN Plaza station. At the Civic Center station, transfer to the Golden Gate Transit bus route 101 towards Marin City. Get off at the Muir Beach stop. From the bus stop, walk approximately 0.5 miles west along Muir Beach Road to reach Muir Beach.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a nearby rental shop in Daly City. Start at the Daly City BART station and head north on John Daly Blvd. Turn left onto Mission St. and then right onto Geneva Ave. Continue on Geneva Ave until you reach the Pacific Coast Highway (CA-1). Follow CA-1 north until you see signs for Muir Beach. Once you arrive, you can park your bike in designated areas near the beach.

If you are up for a challenge, you can walk to Muir Beach from Daly City. Start by walking to the nearest BART station and take the BART train to the Civic Center/UN Plaza station. From there, transfer to the Golden Gate Transit bus route 101 towards Marin City and get off at the Muir Beach stop.
