Car
If you are driving from nearby locations in Gold Country, take CA-49 N towards Truckee. Follow CA-49 N for approximately 30 miles until you reach CA-267 E. Merge onto CA-267 E and continue for about 12 miles. As you approach Truckee, take the exit towards Donner Pass Rd. Turn left onto Donner Pass Rd, and after about 0.5 miles, you will see the Historic Downtown Truckee & Visitor Center on your right at 10065 Donner Pass Rd. Parking is available nearby, but please be aware that some spots may require a parking fee.

For those traveling via public transportation, you can take the Amtrak train to the Truckee station. From the station, it is about a 1-mile walk to the Historic Downtown Truckee & Visitor Center. Exit the train and head east on Donner Pass Rd; the Visitor Center will be on your left.
