    If you are in downtown Joshua Tree, start at the Joshua Tree Coffee Company located at 61740 29 Palms Hwy. Head east on the highway for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Freedom Way. Turn left onto Freedom Way and continue for about 0.3 miles. The Joshua Tree National Park Visitor Center will be on your left at 6533 Freedom Way.

  • Public Transportation

    From the Joshua Tree Village Center, walk to the nearest bus stop for the Morongo Basin Transit Authority. Take the Route 1 bus towards Twentynine Palms. Get off at the stop closest to the Joshua Tree National Park Visitor Center. From the bus stop, walk about 0.2 miles east along Freedom Way, and you will see the Visitor Center on your left at 6533 Freedom Way.

  • Biking

    If you have access to a bike, start from downtown Joshua Tree. Head east on the 29 Palms Highway (Hwy 62) for approximately 1 mile. After you pass the Joshua Tree Inn, take a left onto Freedom Way. The Visitor Center is about 0.3 miles down Freedom Way on your left at 6533 Freedom Way. Remember to wear a helmet and follow traffic rules.
