    If you find yourself in the heart of Downtown Monterey, start at the historic Custom House Plaza, which is a popular gathering spot. From there, head southeast on Del Monte Avenue toward Calle Principal. After about 0.2 miles, turn right onto Calle Principal. Continue walking for another 0.1 miles, and you will find Larkin House at 464 Calle Principal on your left. The walk will take approximately 5-10 minutes depending on your pace.

    For those preferring public transportation, you can take the Monterey-Salinas Transit bus. Locate the nearest bus stop on Alvarado Street, where lines 1, 2, and 3 operate. From the bus stop, walk 2 blocks east on Calle Principal, and Larkin House will be on your right. The bus fare is approximately $2.00.
