Driving
The most common way to arrive at Joshua Tree National Park is by car. The park has three entrances: the West Entrance near Joshua Tree Village, the North Entrance in Twentynine Palms, and the South Entrance off Interstate 10. From Los Angeles, take I-10 East to CA-62 North, then follow the signs to the park entrance. From Palm Springs, take CA-62 East to the West or North Entrance. The entrance fee is $30 per vehicle, valid for 7 days. Alternatively, you can purchase an annual Joshua Tree National Park pass for $55, or an 'America the Beautiful' pass for $80, which grants access to all national parks for a year. Keep your receipt to show upon exiting the park.

Public Transport
Limited public transportation options exist to reach Joshua Tree National Park. The Morongo Basin Transit Authority (MBTA) offers bus service to the towns near the park entrances. From there, you may be able to use a private shuttle service or taxi to reach the park itself, though these options are limited and may require advance booking. While a shuttle service used to operate within the park, it is currently unavailable. Check with the visitor centers for any updates on transportation options within the park.
