Getting There

• Public Bus

  From downtown Palm Springs, walk to the Palm Springs Bus Station located at 340 N. Palm Canyon Drive. Take the SunLine Transit Route 2 bus towards Palm Desert. You will need to stay on the bus for approximately 45 minutes. Once you arrive at the Palm Desert Transit Center, transfer to Route 24 towards La Quinta. Ride for about 20 minutes and get off at the stop labeled 'Pines to Palms Hwy'. From there, it’s about a 1-mile walk to Coachella Valley Vista Point along Pines to Palms Hwy. Be sure to follow the pedestrian path along the road for safety.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Palm Springs. Start your journey by heading south on S. Palm Canyon Drive, then take a right onto E. Palm Canyon Drive to reach the nearby bike paths. Follow the bike lanes to the intersection with Highway 74 (Pines to Palms Hwy) and head southeast. It’s approximately a 10-mile ride to Coachella Valley Vista Point. Be cautious as you approach the highway, as there may be limited bike lanes.

• Rideshare

  For a more direct route, consider using a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Open the app and request a ride to 'Coachella Valley Vista Point', Pines to Palms Hwy, Palm Desert, CA 92260. The drivers are familiar with the area and can take you there directly. The ride from central Palm Springs should take about 25 minutes, depending on traffic.

• Walking

  If you are feeling adventurous and want to hike, you can walk from downtown Palm Springs to Coachella Valley Vista Point. It will be a long trek of around 10 miles. Start by heading south on Palm Canyon Drive, then follow the road towards Highway 74. However, please be aware that this route involves walking along busy roads with limited pedestrian paths, so it’s recommended only for experienced walkers and during daylight hours.
