Getting There

• Car

  To reach Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve by car, start by getting on CA-1 S from your location in the San Francisco Peninsula. Continue on CA-1 S for approximately 12 miles. Take the exit toward CA-92 E, and then merge onto CA-92 E. After about 3 miles, take the exit for Skyline Blvd/CA-35 S. Continue on CA-35 S for about 5 miles until you see the signs for Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve. The entrance is located on the right side. Parking is free at the preserve.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve using public transportation, first take the SamTrans bus Route 17 from your nearest bus stop towards Half Moon Bay. Get off at the stop closest to CA-1 and then transfer to the Route 294 bus heading towards San Mateo. Disembark at the intersection of CA-92 and Skyline Blvd. From there, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles along Skyline Blvd to the entrance of Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve. Note that this walk involves some elevation changes, so wear appropriate footwear.

• Biking

  For those who prefer biking, you can use the Bay Trail or local roads to reach Purisima Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve. Start by heading towards Half Moon Bay along the coastal trails. Once you are near CA-1, head east on CA-92 and then south on Skyline Blvd. Please make sure to wear a helmet and follow local biking regulations. There are bike racks available at the preserve.
