Driving
From Lee Vining, CA, head west on Highway 120 (Tioga Road). The Tioga Pass Entrance is approximately 13 miles west of Lee Vining. Be aware that the road is winding and steep in sections. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition for mountain driving. As of July 13, 2025, expect to pay a $35 entrance fee per private vehicle, which is valid for seven days. Alternatively, an annual Yosemite Pass costs $70. Be prepared for potential delays at the entrance, especially during peak hours.

Public Transport
During the summer, YARTS (Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System) provides bus service to Tuolumne Meadows, which is located within Yosemite National Park, along the Tioga Road. From Tuolumne Meadows, you can take a free shuttle to other destinations along the Tioga Road. Check the YARTS schedule for specific routes and fares. The entrance fee to Yosemite National Park is included in the YARTS fare.
