Getting There

    From Yosemite Valley, take Highway 120 (Tioga Road) east for approximately 48 miles to Tuolumne Meadows. The Wilderness Center is located off Tioga Road, about 1 mile east of the Tuolumne Meadows Visitor Center. Parking is available at the Wilderness Center. Note that Tioga Road is typically closed from November to late May or June due to snow. Entrance to Yosemite National Park costs $35 per vehicle, valid for seven days.

    During summer, YARTS (Yosemite Area Regional Transportation System) provides bus service to Tuolumne Meadows from various locations outside the park.
