If you are traveling by car, start your journey from Pereira. Head southeast on the Autopista del Café (Route 29) and continue towards Manizales. After approximately 30 km, take the exit toward Murillo on Route 45. Follow the signs indicating Los Nevados National Park. The park entrance will be on your left after another 15 km. Ensure your vehicle is in good condition as the road can be steep and winding.

To reach Los Nevados National Park using public transportation, take a bus from Pereira to Manizales. Buses leave frequently from the Terminal de Transporte de Pereira. The journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once in Manizales, you’ll need to take a second bus heading to Murillo. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they go to Los Nevados National Park. The bus ride to Murillo will take approximately 1 hour. From Murillo, you may need to hire a taxi or a local 4x4 vehicle to reach the park entrance, which is around 15 km away. Expect to pay around 60,000 COP for the taxi ride.
