If you are driving, head towards Salento from your location in Quindío. Once in Salento, follow the signs for 'Valle de Cocora.' The road to the valley, Vía al Valle del Cocora, is well-marked. You will drive for approximately 11 kilometers (about 20 minutes). The Mirador 1 Viewpoint will be located along the way before you reach the Cocora Valley, and there will be parking available nearby. Be prepared for a steep and winding road, and keep an eye out for the beautiful wax palms along the route.

To reach Mirador 1 Viewpoint using public transportation, you can take a jeep from Salento. Head to the main square in Salento, where you will find jeeps that go to Valle de Cocora.
