Getting There

  • Public Transportation

    From the Alamosa bus station, take the San Luis Valley Transit bus heading towards the nearby towns. You will want to check the schedule for the latest routes and times. Get off at the nearest stop to the Mystic San Luis Valley, which is usually around the center of Alamosa. From there, you may need to walk approximately 1 mile to the Mystic San Luis Valley area. Follow the signs towards the visitor center, which also serves as a great starting point for exploring the valley.

  • Bicycle Rental

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local rental shop in Alamosa. Once you have your bike, head out from the rental shop towards Main Street. Follow Main Street to the west until you reach the intersection with State Highway 285. Turn left onto Highway 285 and continue riding for about 2 miles until you reach the Mystic San Luis Valley area. There are designated bike lanes on some parts of the highway, so be sure to stay safe while cycling.

    If you're up for a scenic walk, start at the Alamosa Plaza. Head south on State Avenue and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Main Street.
