Public Bus
Start at the Monument Town Center. From there, take the 'Pikes Peak Regional Bus' service (Route 2) towards Colorado Springs. Be sure to check the schedule for the next bus. Ride the bus until you reach the 'Woodland Park' stop. This stop is approximately 12 miles from Monument. Once you arrive in Woodland Park, transfer to the 'Mountain Metro Transit' bus service (Route 38) towards Florissant. Ride this bus until you reach the 'Florissant Fossil Beds' stop. From there, it is a short walk to the entrance of the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument.

Begin at the Monument Town Center and head southwest on Second Street. Continue onto the Monument Valley Trail, which will lead you through scenic views. Follow the trail northwest towards the intersection with Highway 24. Once you reach Highway 24, turn left and continue biking until you reach County Road 1. Turn right onto County Road 1, and the Florissant Fossil Beds will be on your left after a few miles. Take care as this route involves biking on roads with traffic.
