From Colorado River Valley, head southwest on the main highway (likely Highway 139) until you reach the junction with US-50. Turn left onto US-50 East and continue for about 70 miles. Then, take the exit onto US-550 South towards Durango. Drive approximately 40 miles until you reach the town of Mancos. In Mancos, turn left onto CO-184 West. Follow CO-184 for about 10 miles, and then take a left onto the entrance road for Mesa Verde National Park. Be prepared for a park entrance fee of about $25 per vehicle.

Using public transportation, you can take a bus from Colorado River Valley to Durango. Once in Durango, you will need to transfer to a local shuttle or taxi service that goes to Mesa Verde National Park.
