If you're driving from Durango, head north on US-550 for about 110 miles until you reach the town of Montrose. From Montrose, take US-50 east for approximately 30 miles until you reach the town of Gunnison. From Gunnison, follow CO-135 north for about 30 miles until you reach Crested Butte. Continue on CO-135 until you reach the intersection with CO-12, and take CO-12 east. Follow CO-12 until you reach the junction with CO-119, then take CO-119 north. Finally, take the exit onto Evergreen Parkway, leading you to Mount Blue Sky Scenic Byway located in Evergreen, CO.

From Denver, transfer to the RTD light rail service to get to the Evergreen area. You’ll need to take the light rail to the Elitch Gardens stop, then transfer to the 70X bus that heads to Evergreen.
