    If you're starting from Denver, take I-70 W towards Grand Junction. After approximately 55 miles, take exit 232 for US-40 W toward Empire. Continue on US-40 W for about 14 miles, then take the exit for US-6 W toward Loveland Pass. Follow US-6 W for about 9 miles, then turn left onto CO-91 S. Continue on CO-91 S for approximately 13 miles until you reach the intersection with CO-24. Turn left onto CO-24 S, and follow it for about 15 miles. Finally, turn right onto Mount Evans Road (CO-5) and follow it for about 10 miles to the trailhead for Mt Bierstadt. Note that there may be fees for parking at the trailhead, typically around $10.

    For those without a car, take the RTD bus (Regional Transportation District) from Denver to Idaho Springs. From Idaho Springs, you can catch a shuttle service that operates during peak hiking season (typically late spring to early fall) to the Mt Bierstadt trailhead. Be sure to check the shuttle schedule in advance as it can vary. The shuttle service may charge around $30 for a round trip. Once you arrive at the trailhead, you can begin your hike to Mt Bierstadt.
