Getting There

    From downtown Danbury, walk to the Danbury Transit Center located at 1 Patriot Drive. Once there, take the Housatonic Area Regional Transit (HART) bus route 2 towards Waterbury. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest timings. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop for the intersection of Route 9 and Route 52 in Fishkill. From this stop, you will need to walk about 1.5 miles to reach South Beacon Mountain. Follow Route 52 west until you reach the entrance to the mountain trail, which will be on your left.

    Head to the Danbury Train Station at 1 Main St. Take the Metro-North Railroad's Danbury Line towards Grand Central Terminal. Get off at the Beacon station, which is about a 45-minute ride. From the Beacon station, take a local taxi or rideshare service to South Beacon Mountain, or if you prefer to walk, follow Main St. to Route 9D, which leads you directly to the mountain entrance. It’s about a 2-mile walk, so be prepared for a moderate hike!

Once you have your bike, head towards the west on Newtown Road, then take a right onto Route 84 West. After about 5 miles, you will reach Fishkill.
