Walking
If you are starting from Greenwich Avenue, walk north towards East Putnam Avenue. Turn left onto East Putnam Avenue and head towards the Metro-North Railroad station. Once at the station, take the train towards Grand Central Terminal. After approximately 50 minutes, you will arrive at Grand Central Terminal. Upon exiting the terminal, follow signs to the subway and take the 6 train towards Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall. Get off at the 68th Street-Hunter College station. From there, walk east along East 68th Street until you reach 5th Avenue. Turn left onto 5th Avenue and walk north for about 4 blocks until you reach East 72nd Street Playground, located at 905 5th Ave.

Begin your journey at the nearest bus stop on Greenwich Avenue. Take the CT Transit bus route towards New York City (ensure to check the schedule for times). Once you arrive at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in NYC, follow the signs to the subway. Take the subway to 42nd Street-Times Square and transfer to the 6 train towards Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall. Disembark at the 68th Street-Hunter College stop. Walk east along 68th Street to 5th Avenue, then turn left onto 5th Avenue. Continue walking north until you reach East 72nd Street Playground.
