Turn left onto Route 202 and follow it until you reach the intersection with Route 24. Merge onto Route 24 East and continue until you reach the intersection with Route 287. Take the ramp onto Route 287 South. Continue on Route 287 South for approximately 15 miles. Take exit 14 for Route 78 East toward New York City. Merge onto Route 78 East and follow signs for the Holland Tunnel. After crossing into Manhattan, merge onto Canal Street and follow it until you reach Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway and continue until you reach the intersection with East 76th Street. Turn right onto East 76th Street. Bemelmans Bar will be on your right at 35 E 76th St.

Transfer to the Morris & Essex Line train towards New York Penn Station. Once you arrive at New York Penn Station, exit the station and walk to the 34th Street-Penn Station subway station. Take the 1 subway line uptown towards 242nd Street. Get off at the 72nd Street station and exit the subway. Walk east on 72nd Street to Central Park West and turn left.
