    Public Transit

    From Stamford, head to the Stamford Train Station. You can take a Metro-North train on the New Haven Line towards Grand Central Terminal. After approximately 45 minutes, get off at Grand Central Terminal in New York City. Once you arrive, follow the signs to the 42nd Street exit. After exiting, walk towards 5th Avenue and take a right. Continue walking north until you reach Central Park South. Turn left and enter Central Park. The Central Park Zoo is located towards the east side of the park, just a short walk in.

    Bus

    At the Stamford Transportation Center, take the Greyhound bus or a local bus service that goes directly to New York City. Make sure to check the schedule for the next departing bus. Once you arrive at the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan, head to 8th Avenue and walk east to 42nd Street. Then, you can walk north towards Central Park South and enter the park. The Central Park Zoo is on the east side of the park.
