Getting There

• Train

  From Stamford, head to the Stamford Transportation Center, which is easily accessible via local buses or a short walk from downtown hotels. Once at the Transportation Center, purchase a ticket for a Metro-North train heading to Grand Central Terminal in New York City. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Upon arrival at Grand Central, exit the station and follow signs to the subway or street level. To reach Times Square, you can either take the S subway shuttle to Times Square-42nd Street or walk about 15 minutes west along 42nd Street.

• Bus

  You can take the Greyhound or Peter Pan bus service from Stamford to New York City. Board the bus at the Stamford Transportation Center. The bus ride may take about 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you arrive at the Port Authority Bus Terminal, follow signs to exit. From there, it's a short walk to Times Square; simply head east on 42nd Street until you reach the iconic square.

• Train and Subway

  Make your way to the Stamford Transportation Center and take a Metro-North train to Grand Central Terminal. After arriving at Grand Central, follow the signs to the subway and take the 7 train towards Flushing. Get off at Times Square-42nd Street, which is just a few steps from the heart of Times Square. The entire journey should take about an hour.
