From Stamford, head to the Stamford Train Station located at 30 Station Place. Take the Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line towards Grand Central Terminal. Get off at the 125th Street Station in Harlem, which takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive at 125th Street, transfer to the 4 subway train going towards Woodlawn. Ride for 3 stops and get off at the Yankee Stadium stop. Follow the signs to Yankee Stadium, which is just a short walk from the subway station.

Starting at the Stamford Transit Center, take the Greyhound or Peter Pan bus service to New York City. You can purchase tickets online or at the terminal. The bus ride to the Port Authority Terminal in Manhattan takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. From Port Authority, walk to the 42nd Street subway station and take the 1 train towards Bronx. Transfer at 168th Street to the 4 train heading to Woodlawn. Get off at the Yankee Stadium stop and follow the signs to the stadium.
