Walking
If you are located in downtown Stamford, start by heading north on Main Street. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Atlantic Street. Turn left onto Atlantic Street and walk for about 0.3 miles. You will see the Stamford Transportation Center on your right. From here, you can take a bus towards the north suburbs or a train heading to New York City, as the Palisades Interstate Parkway is best accessed by public transport from these stations. If you're taking the train, board a train towards Grand Central Terminal, and get off at the Tarrytown station. From Tarrytown, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare to the Palisades Interstate Parkway, which is approximately 10 minutes away.

From downtown Stamford, walk to the Stamford Transportation Center. Once there, locate the bus terminal and look for a bus that goes towards the north, such as the 971 or 973 routes. Board the bus and stay on until you reach the stop for Tarrytown or a nearby stop along the Palisades Interstate Parkway. Ensure you ask the bus driver for the best stop to get off for access to the Parkway. Once you disembark, you may need to walk a short distance to reach the Parkway entrance.
