From any location in The Quiet Corner, head towards Route 395 South. Merge onto Route 395 South and continue until you reach the junction with Route 9 South. Take Exit 1 for Route 9 South towards Middletown. Follow Route 9 South for approximately 25 miles. Take Exit 3 for Route 154 towards Essex. Merge onto Route 154 and continue for about 3 miles until you reach the intersection with Main Street. Turn left onto Main Street, then right onto Railroad Avenue. The Essex Steam Train & Riverboat will be on your left at 1 Railroad Ave, Essex, CT 06426. Note that parking is available on-site, and there may be a parking fee depending on the event.

If you're using public transportation, the nearest train station is in Old Saybrook. Take a Shore Line East train from New London or Hartford to Old Saybrook Station. From Old Saybrook, you can take the 66 bus towards Middletown and get off at the Essex Town Hall stop. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk to 1 Railroad Ave, Essex, CT 06426. Follow Main Street towards the river, and turn right onto Railroad Avenue. The Essex Steam Train & Riverboat will be on your left.
