Getting There

  • Walking

    Start from the center of Nikao, near the beach. Begin walking along the coastline, heading towards the southwest. Keep an eye out for the main road, Ara Tapu, which runs parallel to the beach. After approximately 10-15 minutes of walking, you will reach the intersection of Ara Tapu and the road leading to Te Vara Nui Village. Turn left onto Ara Tapu and continue walking for about 5 minutes. You will see the entrance to Te Vara Nui Village on your right. Follow the path leading into the village.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, start from the main beach area in Nikao. Cycle along the beach road heading southwest until you reach the intersection with Ara Tapu. Turn left onto Ara Tapu and continue straight. After approximately 5 minutes of cycling, you will see Te Vara Nui Village on your right. There is a designated pathway leading into the village, where you can park your bicycle.
