Bus
From the center of La Fortuna, head towards the main bus terminal located on the east side of the town square. Look for the buses heading to Tilarán. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Tilarán, you will need to take a taxi to El Tigre Waterfalls, as it is about 20 minutes away from the bus station. Taxis are readily available outside the bus terminal.

You can book a shared shuttle service from any hotel or tourist office in La Fortuna. These shuttles typically leave in the morning and can take you directly to El Tigre Waterfalls. Make sure to confirm the pick-up time and location at your accommodation.

Walking
If you prefer a more adventurous approach, you can walk to El Tigre Waterfalls. Start from the center of La Fortuna and head west towards the main road (Route 142). Follow this road for approximately 7 kilometers until you reach the entrance of the waterfall. The trail is well-marked, but ensure you have enough time as it will take about 1.5 to 2 hours to walk there.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in La Fortuna. From the town center, pedal towards Route 142 and follow the signs to Tilarán. It is about a 7-kilometer ride to the entrance of El Tigre Waterfalls. The ride is fairly flat and offers beautiful views along the way, taking approximately 30-40 minutes.
