Walking
Start at the main square in Makarska, located near the waterfront. Head east along the promenade until you reach the end of the beach. Keep walking straight until you see the signs pointing towards the ferry port. Once you reach the ferry port, you will need to take a ferry to Hvar Island. The ferry service operates regularly, and you can buy tickets at the port. After arriving at Hvar Town, follow the main road uphill towards the center of town. Look for signs directing you towards Fortica Fortress, which is located at Ul. Biskupa Jurja Dubokovica 80. It’s a steep but short walk from the town center, and you will enjoy beautiful views along the way.

Public Transport
From your accommodation in Makarska, walk to the main bus station. Buses to Split or Hvar are frequent. Take a bus that goes to Hvar Town. Once you arrive in Hvar Town, exit the bus station and walk towards the main square. From there, follow the road uphill towards Fortica Fortress. It is a short walk, and you will see signs guiding you. The fortress is located at Ul. Biskupa Jurja Dubokovica 80.
