The Pěčnovské kamenné spirály are located approximately 7 km northwest of Prachatice. These stone spirals are part of a series of geopuncture sites that can be found in other locations such as Adršpach, Zdoňov, Vstiš, and Horní Bělá. The artwork was created in 2017 by an international group of geomantic artists from the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, and the USA, led by Slovenian UNESCO ambassador Marko Pogačnik. The spirals consist of menhirs, stones that have been placed to create a closer relationship between humans and the landscape. Each stone features a unique symbol or cosmogram designed to interact with the surrounding environment. According to the artists, these standing stones can be perceived as acupuncture needles connecting the Earth to humanity, fostering a deeper connection with the planet. One stone is rotated 180 degrees, symbolizing the connection of all places worldwide where similar cosmograms exist. The site is accessible year-round and free to visit.
