Follow DE-4 W until you reach the intersection with Possum Hollow Road in Newark. Turn right onto Possum Hollow Road. After about half a mile, you will find the Middle Run Valley Natural Area on your right. There is no entrance fee to access the park.

For those using public transportation, take a DART First State bus route that services the Newark area. You can catch the bus from various points in Delaware Piedmont. The closest bus stop to Middle Run Valley Natural Area is on DE-4. After disembarking, walk west along DE-4 for about 0.5 miles until you reach Possum Hollow Road. Turn right on Possum Hollow Road and walk another half mile to reach the park entrance. Please check the DART First State website for current schedules and fares, which typically range from $1.75 to $3.00.

Start from your location in Delaware Piedmont and find a route that leads to the bike-friendly roads towards Newark. Follow local bike paths leading to Possum Hollow Road.
