Car
From any location in The Brandywine Valley, you will want to head towards Route 95 North. Follow the signs for I-95 N toward Philadelphia. After approximately 15 miles, take exit 12B for I-76 W toward Valley Forge. Continue on I-76 W for about 5 miles, then take exit 347A for the Philadelphia International Airport. After exiting, continue straight onto Hog Island Road. Fort Mifflin will be on your right at 6400 Hog Island Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19153. There is a parking area available at the fort.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, start by taking the SEPTA Regional Rail (Media/Elwyn Line) from any station in The Brandywine Valley to the Swarthmore station. From Swarthmore, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to Fort Mifflin, as public transportation options are limited in that area. The approximate distance is about 7 miles and should take around 15-20 minutes by car. Be prepared for a taxi fare that could range from $20 to $30.
