Note that the road can be rough in places, so a vehicle with good clearance is recommended.

To reach Sierra de Bahoruco National Park via public transport, first take a bus or 'carro publico' from the nearest city, such as Barahona, to Sierra de Bahoruco. Once you arrive in Sierra de Bahoruco, look for a local 'motoconcho' (motorcycle taxi) which can take you directly to the entrance of the national park. The bus fare from Barahona is usually around 100-150 DOP, and the motoconcho might cost an additional 200 DOP.
