Car
If you are driving, start from the Cotopaxi National Park entrance, which is located on the Pan-American Highway (E35). Follow the signs towards Zumbahua. After approximately 30 minutes, you will reach the village of Zumbahua. From Zumbahua, take the road towards the Toachi River Canyon (33CV+VH6). The road is well-marked and offers beautiful views, so make sure to drive cautiously. The canyon is about a 15-minute drive from Zumbahua. Look for parking areas near the canyon's viewpoint.

Public Transportation
To reach Toachi River Canyon via public transportation, take a bus from Latacunga to Zumbahua. Buses leave regularly from the Latacunga bus terminal. The journey takes about 1.5 hours and costs around $2. Once you arrive in Zumbahua, you can either walk to the canyon (about a 30-minute uphill walk) or hire a local taxi for a short ride to the canyon's viewpoint. Taxis may cost around $5-$10 depending on negotiation.
