Getting There

Walking
From Luxor Temple, head east towards the Nile Corniche. Walk along the Corniche until you reach the intersection with the main road (Corniche El Nile). Cross the road and take a left onto the main road. Continue walking straight for about 3 kilometers, passing by several shops and restaurants. You will come to a roundabout; continue straight through the roundabout. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will see signs for Deir el-Medina on your right. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at Deir el-Medina.

Local Bus
From Luxor Central Bus Station, board a bus heading towards the West Bank of Luxor. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off near Deir el-Medina. The bus ride should take around 20-30 minutes. Once you get off, walk towards the entrance of Deir el-Medina, which is well-marked. It’s a short walk from the bus stop.

Horse-drawn carriage
From your hotel in Luxor, you can hire a horse-drawn carriage (known as a 'calèche'). Tell the driver you want to go to Deir el-Medina. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Enjoy the scenic views of the West Bank on your way there.
