Getting There

Walking
Start from Luxor Temple, which is a central landmark. Head east along the Corniche (the riverfront road) towards the east bank of the Nile. Continue walking until you reach the ferry terminal. Take the ferry across the Nile to the Al Qarna side, which takes about 10-15 minutes. Once you arrive on the east bank, exit the ferry terminal. From there, you can either take a local microbus or walk along the main road heading northeast towards Al Qarna. Look for signs directing you to the Hot Air Balloon launch site. The site is approximately 15-20 minutes from the ferry.

Microbus
From Luxor Temple, walk to the bus stop located near the Corniche. There you can find microbuses heading towards Al Qarna. Board one of these microbuses, and tell the driver your destination (Hot Air Balloon location). The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you get off, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the balloon launch site, which is not far from the main road.

Horse Carriage (Calèche)
If you prefer a more traditional mode of transport, you can hire a horse carriage (Calèche) from anywhere in Luxor, especially near Luxor Temple or the Souk area. Negotiate a fare with the carriage driver and inform them you want to go to the Hot Air Balloon location in Al Qarna. The ride will be scenic and may take around 30-40 minutes. Enjoy the views along the way, and the driver should take you directly to the launch site.
