Walking
From the center of Mekele, head south on Abreha Atsebha Street towards the airport road. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the Aksum Road. Turn left onto Aksum Road and walk for another 2 kilometers. You will see signs for Abraha Atsbeha Monastery. The monastery is located on your right at RGWP+VPR. It should take approximately 30-40 minutes to reach on foot.

Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, start at the Mekele Market and head south on Abreha Atsebha Street. Keep cycling straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the intersection with Aksum Road. Turn left onto Aksum Road and continue cycling for about 2 kilometers. Follow the signs for Abraha Atsbeha Monastery, which will be on your right at RGWP+VPR. The ride should take around 15-20 minutes, depending on your speed.

Public Transport (Minibus)
From the main bus station in Mekele, take a minibus that is heading towards Abraha Atsbeha. The fare is usually very affordable. Inform the driver that you are going to the monastery, and they will drop you off near the entrance. Once you arrive, it’s a short walk to RGWP+VPR where the monastery is located. The journey by minibus takes about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic.
